FREE business start-up advice session launched for the retired
Thinking of starting your own business after you’ve retired?
Wenta have launched a FREE business start-up advice session designed for local residents that have retired or are planning their retirement.
This ‘Reinvent Your Retirement’ session will give you the opportunity to explore the world of self-employment - helping you to decide whether starting your own business is for you and, if so, what the first steps are that you should take.
Topics such as ‘Idea Generation’, ‘Can You Turn Your Hobby Into A Business?’ and ‘How To Start A Business’ will all be covered.
With over 30 years of experience in helping people to become self-employed across Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire and having helped 1014 new businesses to start in 2013/2014 alone, Wenta are the leading enterprise agency for the region. Of these 1014 new businesses, 89% are still trading after their first 12 months, a statistic that is well above the national average, illustrating the positive impact of Wenta’s support service.
Mick Dobson, Business Advisor at Wenta, said:
“There are many people that go through life always dreaming of starting their own business one day but never see it through. Some find the thought of it too daunting; others don’t know how to go about making it a reality. We’re here to show that self-employment really isn’t as scary as some think. Running your own business in your later years can offer great benefits. As well as keeping you mentally and physically active, it can provide you with an extra income to support your retirement.”
These free business start-up advice sessions will be running between 10am - 1pm on the 18th August 2015 and 28th September 2015 at The Wenta Business Centre, Colne Way, Watford WD24 7ND.
